At this time of year, most non-haunt folks are mourning the end of Summer or thinking about going back to school. Haunters, however, are ramping up for the busiest and most exciting time of the year...HAUNT SEASON! In this episode, Scott discusses things that haunters can be working on now before the real craziness starts.

August 11, 2019 02:40 PM PDT

Join Scott at Midsummer Scream in Long Beach CA. This episode was recorded August 2-5, 2019 and includes information about the trade show, interviews with vendors and even a shout out from the wonderful people who attended Scott's class on "Communicating Fear".

June 30, 2019 07:11 PM PDT

In this episode, Scott discusses the elements involved in starting a Haunted Attraction for the first time. He discusses everything from budgets to location to staffing to preparing for the unexpected.

Another episode based on suggestions from the "A Scott in the Dark Listener's Group" on Facebook.

March 25, 2019 03:16 PM PDT

Scott talks about his experience as a vendor and presenter at Transworld's Halloween & Attractions Show...NOW WITH CHRISTMAS in St. Louis! Listen to his interviews with Quan Gan from ZTAG 2.0, Sharon Aguillen from TCB Productions and a "reverse interview" with Drew Badger from The Big Scary Show. This episode closes with a bleary eyed and broken voiced monologue from the airport where Scott shares his views of the 2019 show and why these shows are so important to the industry.

February 26, 2019 06:11 PM PST

Members of the Facebook Listeners Group submitted a list of topics for discussion...and here are some of them. This is the first of several episodes based on listener input. Thank you Patrick, Austin, Matthieu, Tater, and Wicksey for your suggestions. More topics from more listeners coming in future episodes. Scott recorded a great (and often silly) conversation with his friends Rick West from Midsummer Scream and entertainment icon J Michael Roddy. He also recorded a "simulcast" with Johnny Bronto and Haunt Scene which aired live via Facebook Live. This is what Haunt conventions are all about, checking in with friends friends and "talking haunt stuff".

Hear Scott's thoughts and observations about The Special Event Tradeshow 2019 in San Diego California.

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.
